The Air Out There
Artist: Soplerfo
Format: 12" vinyl record
Release Date: November 2011
Catalog #: CRC010
Edition of: 200
New music from Sam Brelsfoard / Soplerfo recorded between 2005 and 2010. This record is somewhat of a departure insomuch as no "cut and splice" techniques were used in the production. Sam's general rule of keep it simple remains firmly in place though; No heavy effects, no glossy overlays, just raw, honest tunes here.

These recordings represent years of work and evolution. Certainly Sam's largest effort, musically, to date. Sounds on this disk range from beautiful beaten drones to 70's psych-rock influenced blasts. Instrumentation is all over the place: Various synths, hammer dulcimers, guitars, toy instruments. Of course, it wouldn't be a Soplerfo album without a heavy dose of field recordings and found sounds too.

This record is limited to 200 numbered copies. Each record comes in hand printed archival sleeves sheathed in 7mil poly sleeves.

Topography
Artist: The Ancient Lowly
Format: CDR
Release Date: April 2010
Catalog #: CRC011
Topography is a wash of burbling synths, fuzzy drones, delicate guitars and huge soundscapes. The Ancient Lowly is Don Mennerich; one half of the now-defunct experimental duo, Parallel, with Greg Davis. Topography finds Mennerich pulling together the many disparate aspects of his previous works. The central force here being the opulent sound environments generated by Mennerich's modular analog synthesizer.

This release is limited to only 150 numbered copies. All are hand-made with the utmost care. Each black-backed-CDR is sheathed in hand screen-printed jackets. Accompanying each disk is a mini-representation of the massive modular synthesizer used on these recordings.

Soplerfo
Artist: Soplerfo
Format: 12" vinyl record
Release Date: April 2010
Catalog #: CRC009
Edition of: 100
This is a follow-up to the EP for Dogs 12". Originally intended as a CD to be released on Zod Records sometime in 2005 or so, this chunk of music has been around for a while. Due to a myriad of reasons, Ben and Sam at Zod were unable to release the album (tough times for small labels, these). These recordings are finally now seeing a proper release and we're thrilled about it.

Each record is sheathed in beautifully hand-silkscreened heavy-duty archival sleeves. Each includes an individually numbered woodblock print insert. A true beauty to behold if we do say so ourselves. Limited to 100 numbered copies!

SAMpler
Artist: Soplerfo
Format: 7" vinyl record
Release Date: 2003
Catalog #: CRC006EP
Edition of: 300
Originally pressed in 2003, the SAMpler 7" is CRC's first professionally duplicated release. This one's all over the place. Each track is a different style, totally schizophrenic. Ostensibly intended as a demo of sorts, a pretty accurate aural embodiment of where Sam's brain was at the time.

Each record comes in a poly sleeve with individually printed black-and-white oldskool fold-over jacket-insert.

Live at the Zeitgeist Gallery, April 30, 2003
Artist: Soplerfo
Format: CDR
Release Date: 2004
Catalog #: CRC007
Edition of: 50
This is a piece performed and recorded by Soplerfo in front of an audience at the Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 30, 2003 as part of the "Sonic Blender Looping Event". It's one continuous improvisation using only the gallery's grand piano and a software loop-sampler on a beat-up old laptop. A fairly abstract piece, to be sure, but also a very pleasing listen, if we do say so ourselves. Think half way between musique concrète and Boredomes-style freak-out noise. Parts of it remind me very much of George Rhoads' "ball machines." A very fun listen, to be sure. Limited to 50 copies, this short-run didn't stay in stock for long.

Sold out, sorry
